Grilled Panela Cheese Tacos Recip

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz (283g) El Mexicano Panela Cheese, sliced

  • 8 small corn tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup diced onions

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 avocado, sliced

  • Lime wedges, for serving

  • Salsa of your choice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Olive oil, for grilling

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Slice the Panela cheese into thick pieces.

    • Dice the tomatoes and onions.

    • Chop the cilantro and shred the lettuce.

    • Slice the avocado.

  2. Grill the Panela Cheese:

    • Heat a grill pan over medium heat and lightly coat it with olive oil.

    • Place the slices of Panela cheese on the grill pan.

    • Grill the cheese for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until it develops grill marks and becomes slightly golden. Be careful not to overcook as the cheese may become too soft.

  3. Warm the Tortillas:

    • In a separate pan, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat until they are pliable and slightly toasted.

  4. Assemble the Tacos:

    • Place a few slices of grilled Panela cheese on each tortilla.

    • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, chopped cilantro, and avocado slices.

    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Serve:

    • Serve the tacos with lime wedges and your favorite salsa on the side.

    • Enjoy your delicious grilled Panela cheese tacos!
